Alignment Analysis of State F
Language Arts Standards and Assessments
Grades 5, 8, and 11 |

This study is one of the alignment studies
conducted and supported by the Technical Issues of Large-Scale
Assessment (TILSA) group of the Council of Chief State School Officers.
The alignment institute was held May 21-24, 2001. The report consists of
a description of the four criteria used to judge the alignment between
State F standards and assessments in language arts and the tables
listing the results from the analysis of the coding by six reviewers.
Assessment officials in State F also were given Excel files that contain
supplementary information, the rating guidelines for the
depth-of-knowledge levels assigned by reviewers to the objectives, the
summary of coding by all reviewers, the objectives coded by each
reviewer by item, and the summary tables. |
